How to Update BIOS from AO3 - A11?
I'm trying to update my Alienware Aurora R4 BIOS from AO3 to A11 since I just got a GTX 970 and a SSD. (which supposedly both require A11)
However, I have no idea how to do this, and I don't want to brick my PC, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's ok. I was able to fix the problem by disconnecting the PC power cable, and rebooting a few times. Eventually, I was luckily able to reach the BIOS, where I switched from RAID to AHCI mode. This allowed my BIOS to update correctly and I am now successfully running A11 and a new GPU. :D

Made it to BIOS A07, when I tried going to A09, it said successful and rebooted. Now, instead of rebooting correctly, it powered back on and is now making an incredible loud fan noise, with nothing showing up on the monitor. What do I do?!
Whether it's a03 to a11 or a10 to a11, alienboards can be fragile with their bios updates. Tesla1856 has posted on last resort methods to try & recover a bios update gone wrong; I can not find the post I was looking for, you & others will have to do your own research as he might be the only person on this forum who knows what steps might be tried & then laid it down on paper. Removing the CMOS batt for 5 minutes is the 1st line of defense I'd try, other help may be below in older posts:

I got my R4 alienboard on eBay, A11 already installed, from the vendor w/a $140 or best offer:
their boards come straight from Dell in Round Rock, Tx ...
