Monitor Power OFF = Unexpected Computer restart

I found something new by accident..new - but not in a good way. All was well with all the new MS updates after some work. But, today I was cleaning my Dell SP2309W monitor (My office is spotless - OK, I'm a bit OCD, LOL) and I accidentally brushed by the power button on the monitor...then the computer, an Area 51 ALX, rebooted....odd....I turned back on the monitor and when my desktop came back on it told me that Windows had an unexpected shutdown.... Monitor has 2 built in USB ports, a mic and webcam. Only initial release driver available. Thoughts anyone?

boy o" boy, maybe I did.  But, I found the solution.  The Dell SP2309 monitor comes with the Dell Webcam software.  This initial release software is also available for download in the monitor drivers area.  Inside that program is an option to check for updates.  It is a Creative brand webcam.  There was an update.  I installed the update months ago.  The NEW MS updates pertaining to the USB speeds do NOT PLAY nice with the webcam update or vice versa....I reinstalled the initial release Dell Webcam software and all is fine....no restart when turning off monitor....So, if anyone else had this issue, try just installing the initial release.
