Just to confirm, you downloaded the driver from the Dell support site, is that correct? I assume you have Windows 7 since this version of the driver only applies to Windows 7. If you have Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, try this version of the driver instead. Also, can you confirm what is the error message that you receive when trying to install the driver?

All correct. I am running Windows 7 still and go straight to the Dell support site for my updates.

Hi, 

There are 2 file format options on the Dell download page for this driver. There is the Update Package option and the Hard-Drive option. Download the Hard-Drive option and try installing that one.
