Touchpad light

Question

I have just updated my bios to version M17XR3_A12, and I also updated the Alienware Command Centre to the latest version.  I'm now having a problem with the light around the touchpad.  Previously when the mouse was plugged in the touchpad was disabled and the light around it was turned off (maybe it was just set to black and Alienfx), now the touchpad does correctly disable but the light is on and won't turn off and I cannot select black as it's colour.  This is really annoying, I find the light around that pad very distracting, especially when the room lighting is dim.  Is there no longer a way to run it off (other than putting black tape over the light which I am seriously considering!).

Hi IanB2, Sorry about the experience. I request you to try pressing the FN key + the F12 key. This should disable the light around the touchpad. Do reply with your findings.
