It is currently difficult getting new laptop batteries and Dell do not sell batteries. The Alienware 13 R2 has a large main Battery and a small coin CMOS BIOS Battery. Guess that an OEM main battery is wanted.
Search the internet using the Dell Part Number (DP/N) and get extra purchase protection from Amazon, eBay, etc. Alienware 13 R2 Original 8-cell Laptop Battery 62Wh DP/N N1WM4, or Alienware 13 R2 Original 4-cell Laptop Battery 51Wh DP/N 3V806.
On delivery, visit the white label and look beneath the square matrix for year/month date to confirm that Battery is less than six months old. Laptop without battery is designed to function as Desktop on ac adapter (charger) power. If the battery is swollen, it should be carefully removed, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Handling swollen Lithium-ion batteries | Dell US. Do not store swollen Battery in local accommodation, if leaking and in contact with water, it may ignite and cause fire.
