15 R1, Bluetooth no longer shows up anywhere
Hello,
This morning I attempted to connect my bluetooth headset to my laptop and it didn't connect. I restarted the computer thinking it would solve the problem like it normally does, but to no avail.
I went to my device manager as I saw it online and I have no bluetooth drivers on there. My notification center doesn't have the icon for it either. I think my computer just straight up deleted my drivers.
I've tried everything I could have possibly checked and even tried installing new drivers but nothing is working.

Hi @shrekrules welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Your old Alienware 15 R1 laptop accepts Drivers & Downloads for the Windows 10 x64 operating system. Windows Update or Dell updates may have changed your system settings.
(1) In the Bottom RH corner of the screen, Open and expand Notifications to see if Nearby sharing is enabled.
(2) Open Control Panel > Network and internet > Network Connections. Is Bluetooth Network Connection enabled?
(3) In bottom LH corner of the screen, Open Search and type Troubleshoot Bluetooth. Open troubleshoot, to find and fix any problems with Bluetooth devices.
Please click on Kudos to say thank you for response from user that is not employed by Dell. Please share an update on progress, so that other users derive benefit from your experience. Thank you.

Did you open the back of the computer and see if the wifi card has the Bluetooth and WiFi cables connected. Maybe your computer wifi card is messed up or the actual cable has an issue.

I tried getting the laptop open, but I can't seem to get it opened. My wifi itself is fine.

Hi Crimson,
I cannot find a nearby sharing area on the notifications.
I cannot find any network and internet. Only Network and Sharing Centre.
I tried troubleshooting and it says that I don't have blutooth capability on this computer.

Hi @shrekrules thank you for sharing update.
You previously had Bluetooth and now it fails to appear in Windows Settings or Task Master's Services. Perhaps the Bluetooth service has been switched off with a windows update. Hopefully, the Wi-Fi card has not lost its Bluetooth function.
From your Local Admin account, click on taskbar Search and type Services, click on Open as administrator, new window appears and Services (Local) should be listed alphabetically. There will be more than one Bluetooth service. All Bluetooth services' Startup Type column should say Manual (Trigger Start). Guess that you will have to right click to open properties and change startup type to Manual, automatic, then OK. When all Bluetooth services have been updated, Restart to save these changes in the Windows operating system. When laptop boots into Windows, the Bluetooth Devices icon should have been reinstated in the taskbar (hidden icons).
You might have to visit Device Manager to see that all the Bluetooth drivers are installed, and right click to select Enable device.
Please share an update on progress, so that other users derive benefit from your experience. Thank you.

unscrew the two screws that hold the backplate in place and then use a suction cup to remove that cover. Inspect the WiFi and other things Plus dust levels.

Hi @shrekrules Dell support Bluetooth Troubleshooting and Usage Guide has information about how to pair (connect) Dell Bluetooth enabled computers to Dell Bluetooth accessories, and steps to resolve issues you may have. Other users report compatibility conflicts with installed software. Did these Bluetooth instability and then connection broken problems start when the Bluetooth headset software was installed?
