17 R1, 8 beep after enabling ‘Load legacy ROM’

After fixing the motherboard of my Alienware 17 r1, the laptop went on Windows Recovery Environment, I accidentally enabled the ‘Load legacy ROM’ to install windows from a flash drive. What should I do?

They also experienced the problem I have, maybe it wasn’t because of the repair.

8 beeps  means the LCD cable is damaged.

So you broke things during your "repair"

4 Memory read/write failure Memory failure
5 Real-Time Clock (RTC) power failure CMOS battery failure

NON Dell hardware would require secure boot OFF.

How exactly did you fix it?

did you replace it from dell or parts-people or amazon?

Because if you get extremely lucky, you get an oem motherboard but that’s only from dell and parts-people as amazons a complete other story.

An 8 beep code is LCD fault or possibly a GPU fault (if you have the 120Hz display). Enabling the Legacy ROM shouldn't really cause this error. Edit: Depending on what GPU you have

You may be able to perform an NVRAM reset to get the BIOS back to default.

NVram reset basically disconnecting the cmos battery for 5 min and then putting it back in.
