17 R1, beep code 2 "no memory"
I started getting this today after year. I was getting 2 beeps succession - "no memory".

SOLVED:
I pulled the CMOS battery. Let it cycle through many reboots on the error code 2. Then when I started getting beep code 5 (CMOS), I plugged back the CMOS battery and rebooted it.
