If the system has a standard screen, replace the cable; if it's a touchscreen, you'll need to replace the entire display assembly.
Carefully check the mainboard connector -- make sure it is not damaged.

You need the same one you now have -- try parts-people.com or order from Dell Spare Parts (the latter in the US is 1-800-357-3355).

I forgot to Elaborate, I'm using an Alienware 17 R4

Can I replace with any other EDP Ribbon cables or does it have to be the exact model? What type am I going to look for?
