17 R4, Ubuntu not supported by Dell

That's not right. We bought these machines. They are ours to use as we like. You can't just force people to only use "authorized" software configurations.

All can see on the  17 R4 driver page  under Operating system  that Dell  only  tested/validated Windows 10. Dell-Admin>
