17 R4, black screen

Question

After repasting my Alienware 17 R4, went to turn on the laptop and all the lights,fans turn on except the screen just stayed black, I connected the laptop to my Tv thru the Hdmi and it worked but the screen on the laptop is not registering as a first or second screen,not sure if the display cable got damaged or the screen died or something worse like the mother board.

Explain 'repasting'  Nothing would work if the motherboard failed. It is most likely a screen problem. Wiring?

I used liquid metal on the cpu and gpu but was very careful in doing so, I did the same to my old toshiba and I was very happy with the outcome. Thanks for your answer.
