Anyone bought (3gb x 2) from CompuRAM? I got mine from Samsung but still didnt boot to windows, I tried everything and still the same. I checked on CompuRAM they said it will support there RAMs.
I have tried 32GB/2666/ (From Kingston Hyperx 4Gx64bit 2 ranks) + 8GB/2400, which could be recognized by the BIOS. The BIOS shows 40GB RAM with 2400MHz. However, the windows can not boot as DELL assistant always runs diagnosis process.
SO, I can say it is the problem from DELL and it forbidden us to install 64GB RAM.....So that we need to buy new laptops......
The only way possible I think is to have the 2x32gb sticks installed but get the DDR4 one not the LPDDR4 as that has a lower voltage meaning that the computer cant read the ram properly because whenever it needs to be used it only uses 1.35v instead of 1.4.
Same reason why you cant get 64gb at 3200Mhz on the AREA-51m because the slots cant supply enough voltage so id manually adjust that in the bios overclocking settings.
It won't matter. I'm not sure why the post above mentions swapping LPDDR4 for DDR4 but that's impossible anyway - LPDDR4 memory is low profile, and soldered to the system board. Systems that use it cannot be upgraded to use DDR4.
And while the voltage of LPDDR4 is slightly lower (1.1V), ordinary DDR4 memory runs at 1.2 V.
Perhaps the author confused DDR3 (1.5 V) with DDR3L (1.35V), but that's an older technology not used by the Alienware 17 R5.
I'm thinking the Reason why the 17 R5 wont boot into windows with 64gb of ram but its able to use it in the bios is because for some reason it cant utilize the ram because when the ram is being used it has to supply power to all the chips on the stick but since 2 32gb sticks cant run then I'm guessing the reason why 1 32gb stick works because it takes the power from the empty slot into the 32gb slot.

Sorry for taking his image and hopefully the update comes from dell so you can squeeze a bit more performance into the Alienware 17 R5.

Have you gotten the 2133Mhz ram sticks?
Id suggest buying 2 sets of ram sticks and then putting 1 in and then if it boots, add the other stick in.

Hope someone can force DELL unlock it.

So since the dell diagnostics checks the ram on boot, then is there a option to disable it?

Since 2019 they integrated the SupportAssist app with the ePSA boot option so I’m guessing applying a bios that came out before 2019 should fix it.

Problem is we can’t even get in to change voltage. I don’t see an option in Alienware command center. Can it be done somewhere else?

Is there an overclocking option in the bios?
Also Intel xtu is an option.

My mistake I looked at the wrong graph.

This is a video I made on this one using the intel XTU app
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yi9rbdpkpk
Sorry for not really demonstrating on moving the sliders themselves, it was a still image that basically showed the memory tab on intel XTU 6.5.2.40

It is more likely the system board isn't built with enough address lines to the memory bus to support more than 32 G of RAM.

But then why can it support a single stick of 32gb in one slot but it can’t if there is two?
