I have exactly the same problem. It started around Feb 25th and I followed the same steps (uninstall according to the guide) and I can't reinstall ACC. The error message I get is exactly the same.

Same stupid error here, as well. Same dumb advice to fix it. I've tried everything, including creating the directory structure of the installation, because it seems that in spite of how far the installer gets, it never creates the directory, it seems - even if I change the path. I've ENDED or SHUT DOWN every single running app and service and it still doesn't matter. Sadly NO ONE FROM DELL has answered or addressed this. LET'S GOOOOOOOO DELL!!!!!!!!!

Have to repost - the page wiped the first one, so we go with the TL;DR version.

Current version (5.2.91.0) seems to be missing components for a full install.

Working installation process:

.5 Uninstall OC Controls followed by AWCC. (I was doing so to fix the freezing problem)

1. Delete/move c:\Program Files\Alienware\Alienware Command Center. I moved mine to the Desktop just in case.

2. Run the Alienware Update Universal App. I had four driver updates that weren't expected. Reboot.

3. Install AWCC v. 5.2.75.0.

4. Install AWCC v. 5.2.91.0.

5. Install OC Controls v. 1.3.0.1239.

So far no page faults and no freeze-ups so far, all sub-components in the Fusion page reporting back.

have exactly the same problem.

I haven't seen AWCC work properly for a single day since I bought my computer.

Alienware hasn't been able to fix this problem for years.

My out of the box Alienware 17 R5 (i7-8750H, GTX 1070, QHD) refreshed with per-key RGB lighting does not have a fully working AWCC. Dell refuse to transfer extended warranty to new owner. Alienware Command Center Application v5.5.14.0 installed, but still stuck in dark mode. @Dell-BradL

Hi @Illmate @alienwarefe @Techarcana @Kamaniwanalaya ,

I noticed based on the post that you guys are having severe trouble trying to use or install AWCC?

I fixed the issue on my Dad's Area 51m R1 Laptop by simply setting up a USB stick with Windows Media Creation Tool and reinstalled Windows 10 because his laptop wasn't working right with Windows 11.

I find that Windows 10 still works the best for support and for drivers, but I highly recommend you guys look for any optional updates when reinstalling via check for updates in the system settings.
