17 R5, AlienFX, lights problem solved!

I'm using Windows 10 Pro.

After years of research I found something which is working for me.

In Task Manager go to Services and look for NahimicService.

Stop that Service and set it to Disable. Reboot.

After reboot, Windows will install some drivers, be patient. Login and wait two minutes until Windows is ready.

I think there are many, many problems with AWCC. I've had my Nahimic Service disables since November and it hasn't helped. AWCC still can't find any Alienware Devices.

Hi @Prospector136  this did not fix my 17 R5 MLK "No AlienFX devices found" problem! Have a high specification preinstalled with all AlienFX LED lights and they are all stuck in Dark Mode. Windows 10 Pro x64 version 20H2 installed and up to date. SupportAssist and ePSA say no hardware problems detected.

AWCC FX tab refuses to install, AlienFX 2.0 does not function, and Dell refuse to provide diagnostics troubleshooting application.

Dell Warranty expires 08 NOV 2026, RTB undertaken, but warranty technician did not fix this fault, and returned system saying they are clueless how to get any of the LED Lights to work.

Very disappointed that DELL will not fix their problematic AWCC application. Dell Warranty pointless.
