17 R5, Command Center and AlienFX lights not working
AWCC (Alienware Command center) is not working properly. I bought Alienware 17 R5 weeks ago everything was perfect except AWCC. I tried everything what comes to your mind about this issue such as update all drivers from the Dell's web site, clean install Windows 10. I opened the back case of laptop than plugged out, plugged in battery. I reset cmos etc. My bios is updated. I have done everything. In conclusion; my is not working properly. When I run the AWCC, I see the "no supported AlienFX device were detected. Alienware Command Center will enable the full FX experience once an AlienFX compatible device is connected..." warning. Really? Now the FX lights are not working. I read from the forums about this problem. Many people facing the same problem and they are all waiting new update!

I just received my AW from the service, they replaced the motherboard (suddenly the laptop stopped) and after about 3 months they sent it back with 2 problems. #1. SOME fx lights are not working even after I did everything what they asked me to do, and #2. THE FANS are ALWAYS running at full speed, even if I'm trying to change the thermal profiles. It just not working. Before, everything worked very very smooth. Now?....
So: I sent in service the laptop because I had a problem with the motherboard and I got back a freakin' tractor. This is how it sounds (the fans are always at 4500RPM). Their answer? Probably from the transport . What should I do? Send it back to service. Really DELL??
Like someone said, I paid a fortune (£4000) and I own the unit from September 2019. Great job Dell!
