17 R5, power button led not working
Hi guys and supporters,
I got a problem with my power led button is not glowing right now. I have updated my windows 10 and everything such as Ailenware command center and Oc control to the latest version and also update all drivers of my laptop to the latest one but my led power button is not working. I have tried many time: shutdown reinstall, re-install windows but it doesn't seem well. I saw my power led button worked one time before but when I shut down and open in the next time, it has gone. I have configured in command center but it still not work. Can anyone show me to repair this or any solution to test the power button? I just afraid that I will have any issue related to hardware. Thanks so much

I am having the same issue but all my leds are not working anyway to fix this I have tryed uninstalling and reinstalling AWCC and that don’t work my power button led light is out the keyboard lights are out both side led lights are out and back led light I don’t know what to do

Having the exact same issue since i tried to play Killing Floor 2 on my alienware15r4 and it wasn't cooperating with my alienwarefx rgb. Now all my leds won't turn on and its all black. Alienfx doesn't even register with my LEDs now.......doub't i can even resell this laptop at this point with non functioning rgb.

My lights went out after a Alienware command center software did an auto upgrade. I have tried your solution twice with no success. Please help, how do I get my keypad lighting to work again?

Hi @Alienware-Eimy please update solution for Alienware 17 R5. (No lights for power button, side tron-lights, keyboard, touchpad, etc.)
Alienware Command Center 5.2.24.0_A00 download Older version legacy available, but Alienware Command Center 5.2.8.0_A00 has been removed from list of Older Versions. Thank you.

Hi @Alienware-Eimy please check your hyperlink to Alienware Command Center 5.2.8.0_A00. We have used this hyperlink to visit AWCC - Google Drive, downloaded AWCC setup.ex and changed file name to setup.exe so that it functions. However, check of file Details reveals that this is AWCC v5.2.64.0 (not v5.2.8.0).
Please provide AWCC v5.2.8.0. Thank you.

Hi @Alienware-Eimy we have asked why Alienware Command Center 5.2.8.0_A00 is not included in Laptops AWCC, 2.8.8.0 and later and have been told that AWCC v5.2.8.0 (or v5.2.80.0) does not exist.
Does anyone know how to get the 17 R5, power button led to work?

Hi @Alienware-Eimy please update LED enablement solution for Alienware 17 R5. (No lights for power button, side tron-lights, keyboard, touchpad, etc.) AWCC v5.2.106.0 and OC Controls v1.3.21.1340 installed. The New Dell Flagship AWCC AlienFX 2.0 Suite functions do not work, has no SupportAssist troubleshoot, or AlienFX 2.0 tester.
Dell provides application that fails to install correctly and there is no Dell Support webpage for AlienFX 2.0 LED Issues. Our laptop is stuck in dark mode and FN + F12 does not toggle AlienFX 2.0 off and on.
Keep seeing this LED problem will be fixed at next AWCC update, but never is. The 17 R5 launch date is 2018, and Dell has still not fixed their AWCC AlienFX 2.0 Issues.
When is this Dell LED enablement issue going to be fixed?
