17 R5, temp too high causing game stutter
Hello, I recently got stutter while I was gaming. Laptop will stutter even with a high fps rate such as 300 in Overwatch. And sometimes the fps rate will drop dramatically from 290 to 170. I thought it was the issue of overheat. So I used ThrottleStop to undervolt my CPU and GPU with offset of 0.140. However, it didn't work for me. The temp is still so high, and I kept having very bad gaming experience. What should I do?

I did clean my fans. And I use Intel driver&support Assistant to update most of my drivers. Besides that, I actually have manually updated my UHD graphic 630 to the latest version. Do you see a problem of it?

It could be your fans are dusty. Been a while since you cleaned them?
You didn't happen to update your drivers through a third party program or site? It messed up my computer's ability to cool once.

I just checked the thermal framework, I remember I downloaded it from the Dell website through SupportAssit. These are the Alienware and Intel related software I have.

Updating graphics drivers is usually very safe in my experience. Be careful with drivers such as thermal framework ones.
