17 R5, wont factory reset and light fx wont work
I legit have spent days trying to fixed this. Done everything in my power to fix this, and coming from someone with adept computer knowledge I'm pretty lost.

Factory reset will not fix hardware errors. It doesn't work at all after many changes or upgrades.

Hi @claudiavonchavez,
Can you give more details please. What exactly do you mean with Alien FX not working? Is it giving an error message? Are the lights not working?

try replacing a file in your Windows\System32\ folder with this replacement
http://originaldll.com/file/lightfx.dll/34495.html
Maybe Dell can check into it for you.
