high performance is missing. what will i do. already watch those in youtube to enter some commands in cmd and yet still not showing high performance.. please help
Well, dell totally fails in making this iteration better than the M17R4/5 version and they apparently couldnt care less about their reputation or they would have fixed the AWCC Alpha quality software years ago.
I received my 17R4 almost a year ago. Awcc worked fine until a forced update. Then didn't work after that. Technical support while competent, couldn't make awcc work. Open awcc and it would just spin circles under performance and fan control. Their only solution was wipe your drive.
I did and that worked, until this latest update to awcc, which of course produced the same exact problem. Lost control of fans and power profiles. Support tried for hours, but weren't able to get AWCC to function. That's really sad and certainly makes dell look bad. But I'm refusing to wipe my otherwise working laptop because awcc is awful and buggy software that dell ignores. Note that it's been bad from the very beginning and they have never fixed issues with it. Dell's resolution is to ignore the issue and keep producing laptops that rely on awcc.
In my experience, your hardware is fine, it's AWCC that's the failure point.
Their response is to offer me an exchange for an inferior x17 r1. I'm on the fence after reading all the x17 horror stories in this forum....
Hey Sego17! I was having the same issue as everyone else, and I tried all of the other fixes and youtube tutorials, but yours was the only one that worked on my X17 r1, thank you so much!
You are the man! This fixed it for me where nothing else did. I wish there was some way to move this to the top or highlight it as the solution to save everyone a bunch of time and head ache! Thank you so much for this solution!
