This problem has been there for at least half of a year, and I haven't seen dell tried to fix it. Everything was fine when my 15 r4 comes to me, until the "Alienware update" updates my command center. I have tried everything they have mentioned, but of course, my keyboard is still dark. Many people are on the same boat, and they are not posting anymore because they just gave up. Some of them have lights that cannot be controlled, some of them just have no lights (like I do). So just give up, or you can try downloading a earlier version and disable auto update to see if it works.

I have the same problem and it is not being solved. 

I don't know if dell gives a or not but I'm tired of it.
