Hi @SHTL0RDwelcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Dell Support for Alienware 17 R4 Drivers & Downloads provides the click to [Check for Updates] box option and to manually download the AWCC & OC Controls updates to the 17 R4 and reinstall. Windows Control Panel provides Programs & Features will remove the applications. Revo Uninstaller Free will remove the applications and Advanced Scanning Mode will remove any leftover files, so that AWCC can be installed as if for the first time.
Always download any Dell update and install using Run as administrator. Do not use SupportAssist or the Update applications to install anything over the internet, even though they may offer.
As the keyboard lights are working, you could use FN + F12 to toggle AlienFX lights off and on.
You might get lucky, use Revo Uninstaller Free and the subsequent 'new' install of the AWCC update may install all the AlienFX applications. Or like many before you, the AlienFX applications will not install because the pre-installed AlienFX devices are not detected.
There has been considerable discussion about the root cause of the Warning: No AlienFX devices are not detected. The most recent speculation is that the Dell AWCC update has soft-bricked the system board's eeprom. Unlike other computer brands, Dell do not allow users to reflash the eeprom. When under Dell first year warranty the Warranty Technicians replace the system board. When the Dell warranty or extended warranty is not in force, users are reluctant to pay about $1,000 to buy and install a replacement system board. There are reputable vendors that will provide their replacement system board with a 12 month guarantee, but that does not remove the risk of the Dell update soft-bricking.
