Hi @Jay Ridd welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
What makes anyone speculate that motherboard has a fault?
Please provide more information:- (1) Does ac adapter work, mains power plug fuse not blown, mains electrical supply to wall socket is working, (2) Is battery fully charged, Having pressed the power-on button, with nothing connected to the laptop, or with just the ac adapter connected:- (3) Does POST check hardware, briefly switch on fans, keyboard lights, etc. and give diagnostic lights, (4) Does the splash screen appear, screen works and are F2 boot into BIOS & F12 open boot menu options available, (5) Does Boot into windows operating system give blue screen and what does it say, (6) Have you attempted to boot into windows more than three times in quick succession so that windows recovery menu appears to give repair windows option.
Please click on Kudos to say thank you for response from user that is not employed by Dell. Please share an update on progress, so that other users derive benefit from your experience. Thank you.
@crimsom Thank you for your effort to assist. I really gave up on the laptop.
The adaptors were connected and everything else was ok. After some diagnosis, I am told that I have to get a new motherboard for the device because one the the ICs got fried which is stopping power from circulating onto other areas of the motherboard.
Thank you once again and I am really sorry for this late reply.
