Aurora R10, overclocking, Ram running below frequency
I recently bought a brand new Aurora R10 Ryzen Edition. Recently have stumbled into a problem. When ever I boot up a game, the CPU ramps up to 4.0 frequency when it used to not go past 2. According to the AWCC, the system is not in an overclocking mode. I also have tried resetting the bios back to default with no effect. The default ram is 3200 MHz but in AWCC it says it's only running at around 2669 MHz. Anyone have a fix before I call tech support?

Depends on what you call skyrocketing, but if it never went above 2 Ghz before you had something seriously wrong before.

It has a base speed of 3 Ghz and should only drop below that if the system is idle and you have a power profile set under windows that allows the processor to go into a low power state.
That same profile can be set with AWCC, so I am assuming you have recently played around with the power profiles in AWCC or windows.
However, it should be perfectly fine boosting up under load even under light load conditions.

Not sure which CPU you have, but it's perfectly normal for the CPU to boost up and down all day pending the workload it has.
I have an R10 3700X and it boost up to around 4,400 Mhz.
As for the memory, easiest way is to enter your BIOS and select XMP memory. It is listed under performance options.

Also the best way to check memory speed is to use the device manager, go to performance tab and select memory. It will show you the memory speed, size etc...

It's a ryzen 9 5900, but the thing is never went this high before even under load, but now it's skyrocketing during light sessions
