Can dell stop put junk software into my new computer?

I had a Dell alienware M17 R4, and it come with a lot junk software i never gonna use as a gamer.

I do want to upgrade to something better with a RTX 3080 with alienware aurora r11 gaming desktop. The price dropped from over 4100 to 3400 at this time, well with computer this price I still cant control what software in my computer. I do not need Microsoft office. I have other computers just for work. and they are much safer than a gaming pc. ( I checked on the website, the McAfee is optional now).

I do not need to pay mcafee to tell me I am safe.

If I need to working on my PPT I can use an ipad or a laptop not for gaming. They have better battery life can better display. or I can just use the computer from my office. I got a 4k display with 100% P3 coverage. if i want gaming I use my 144 display.

I do understand some kids gonna use the gaming laptop as there only computer, but at least I can have the option to not having things I never gonna need in my new computer.

I know I can remove those from my settings, but I dont want to. I want a computer I can open it up, and play. all I have on my drive are my games.

A gaming pc, what ever you having in there, All for the better gaming experience. If not. than dont.

I doubt a lot of "junk software" will be loaded on it.

However, when I got my Aurora-R6, I did end-up removing some things:

So, you can do that.

Yeah, any Dell that domes with McAfee , I just uninstall it and turn (built-in) Windows Defender back on.

On other Dells, HP, and Lenovo computers ... I sometimes just Nuke-and-Pave (wipe the drive and clean-install non-OEM Windows-10 from microsoft.com ). The (burned-into BIOS) key will be used automatically (and it will Activate as legit).

Well, Dell is doing a lot better now. I called up dell trying to place the order online and the salesman told me i have to buy the computer with microsoft office in there. I dong mind the dell alienware softwares that may helping me to manage my pc easier. I understand thats may be not the best option, but I dont have other options by the shortage of RTX 3080 at this time. I may have to order one if I still can get a RTX 3080 on by Sunday.

==================

If Microsoft Office is on there at all, it's just a "stub / partial" install (as they don't even know what suite version you want). Whether it's partial or full, It doesn't affect speed or operation of the computer anyway.

As for buying ...

And while the higher-config are more expensive, you get some very real instant-discounts bringing the net-price down to a reasonable level for what you get.

I always buy online:
