Fail to update/install OC control

Hello, I own a 17 R5. And system doesn't let me update my OC control program, it will pop up with this message :""Setup Failed. There is already Alienware OC controls in computer. If you want to upgrade your Alienware OC controls, please remove the old version and restart system first."

So I did uninstall my old version OC control, then it didn't work. Then I followed this page: https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/sln303405/how-to-remove-and-reinstall-the-alienware-command-center?lang=en to install a fresh version of Command center, it didn't work either. I am running out of solutions now.

I checked app setting, and it is so weird that it seems like I have two OC controls installed. One is found in alienware command center, when I click into "advanced options" there is OC control programm along with other programs. However, besides that, I found another OC program aside command center, which is independent from command center&command center suite. So, I just uninstalled that one, and we'll see what happen next.

I would look at "All Settings," then "Apps," to see what version of the Command Center & the Command Center Suite is installed. Also check if there is a version of "Alienware OC Controls" installed.

I think you need both...at least I have both and things seem to be working.

The standalone version I have is:

Alienware OC Controls

Version 1.2.34.1214

37.3MB
