M17x R4, arrow keys left and right problem
Hello everyone
I have a problem with my keyboard. Virtually the left and right directional arrows do not work. I'll explain.
When I write a sentence and maybe I am wrong to write instead of canceling to go back using the left arrow but it goes to the beginning of the sentence and using the right goes to the end. It doesn't make me select letter by letter.

As you can see from the on-screen keyboard, despite the fact that I am going to press the left arrow and the right one too, I click the other two keys which are hm and end.
How can fix the problem?

It's possible that the traces between the keys have been damaged over time but hopefully it's just dirt/sweat buildup. The first thing I'd do is remove the keyboard and give it a good blow out. Then grab a can of contact cleaner that has a long nozzle attachment and give it a spray. Hopefully a good clean will sort it out.

I have this exact same issue. It's driving me nuts!!! The thing is, my friend bought the exact same laptop and this doesn't happen to him. I also have the Alienware m17 R4 with the 300hz screen. Someone please help!!! I couldn't find anything in the BIOS and in keyboard settings. And no, it's been happening since day one. What works is that the arrow keys on the number pad to the right works as intended as left and right arrow buttons when num lock is off. The "4" and "6" keys as arrow keys work, but not the actual arrow keys to the left of the num pad.
