Multiple Alienware 17-R3 and m17 R3 power cords separate at connector
The power cords pull apart at the blue light on every Alienware laptop I have owned. I bought an updated computer 2 months ago and the connector has just pulled apart at the blue led again despite my treating it extreme care. The weight of the ferrite bead and the cord itself causes it to happen over time. This is a seriously design that should have been fixed sometime over the last 4-5 years I have owned Alienware. If there is a way to reconnect it, I can't figure it out.
I used hot glue on the previous cord when it started separating and that delayed it getting worse for a while. I am in Japan now with my new computer for several months and don't have access to any tools or supplies. If anyone knows of a way to reconnect it, I would appreciate hearing it.
Special note to Dell: Yes a blue LED in the cord looks cool, but it is pulls apart allowing stress on the wires themselves. Stop trying to be cool and provide properly designed products instead!

Note to anyone reading the thread: I am not a vulgar person and I didn't use profanity. I am rather incensed about the claim.

A comment on the forum censoring. Its overboard and even some technical terms are flagged.
For example "S*T*R*E*A*M*I*N*G" is considered a bad word.
I did a search on the Alienware forum for your power cord problem and your post is the only one I found for this specific problem.
My 3 year old Inspiron 15 Gaming 5577 model has the same type of connector and I haven't had any problems.
