New AWCC update 4/18 notification bugged

Question

I never liked this software. Only forced to use it to control thermals. It is buggy and after each update, I need to manually fix the 'Additional Components Required' to be installed notification. However, my method doesn't work anymore. This new OC Controls and AWCC update is messed up. The notification will appear every time you start up AWCC. Uninstalling/Reinstalling does not work. Refer here for previous problem = m17 R3, within a few hours my AWCC stopped working Owners should not have to go through all this troubleshooting themselves to remedy a bugged software. This time, this solution does not work for the new update that was released today. Have the team look into it. Please. Hundreds of other users have this issue. I am sure there will be a lot of post in the coming days/weeks asking how to fix this.

Yeah, that's a mess for everyone, I expect. Presumably, they know now. The My Alienware update is the same; it just cycles through updating and then tell you there's an update you should install, ad nauseum.

I know it's not Tech Support. We're just chatting between ourselves about a problem known to affect many people. There's no need for us to bother Support about it. We just have to wait for a fix, or maybe reinstall AWCC. No big deal.

Corporate Dell does not usually respond to user's complaints in this public forum. Advocate that user adopt the private Dell process, and visit their online Dell account to create Service Request so that Dell knows there is a problem to fix.

If still within Dell warranty, click on @DELL-Cares and send Private Message to request assistance.

I went into program data/dell/ and deleted the folder 'updateservice'. reinstalled AWCC and it worked
