At first the USB ports (except thunderbolt) stopped working. Checked the drivers and USB xhci connection had an arrow. Could not update driver.
Restored from previous image and problem still there. Reinstalled latest bios and now, my system doesn't seem to boot down correctly. When it comes on, the FF lights stay on and cannot be turned off with the app saying a hardware problem.
Tried to reinstall Windows and now my device is stuck at the Alienware logo.
The warranty is over as of Feb 2018 but this machine does work and after the diagnosis it says all is well.
Please someone tell me what the next step is? I don't want to pay an arm and leg for repairs but I am assuming this has something to do with either the power to the ports or the ports themself.

Hi,
Please try running a PSA/Diagnostic test from the Boot menu. Let us know if you receive any errors.
