Recent Alienware Graphics Amplifier purchase slightly faulty - Replacement options?

I recently purchased an Alienware Graphics Amplifier from the Dell website, and while it technically works as intended, there's some major noises coming from the power supply whenever the graphics card is put under a bit of strain.

The clicking clattering noise starts getting noticeable just slightly when playing a game like Minecraft, but when opening a game like Skyrim or Monster Hunter World the clicking reaches an unbearably loud volume.  It's a constant, steady sound, that never shows any signs of slowing or stopping once it starts.

I can confirm that this is from the power supply, as i've made several experiments listening carefully to both the graphics card i'm using (Nvidia Geforce 2070 Super) and the power supply itself.  I can confirm that the clattering is not from the graphics card or a faulty fan therein, but is very clearly coming from the power supply that came with the Alienware Graphics Amplifier.

While it otherwise "works" like a dream, the noise is unbearably obnoxious, and if this is indeed a hardware malfunction and not just.. a limitation of the machine, I want to get the order replaced.  Given that this was an online order, what are my options?  Do i just have to return the faulty product and buy a wholly new one with the money i get back?  Or is there a direct replacement option available without the extra hassle?

It’s a malfunctioning PSU. Disconnect and stop use immediately. Return to dell and get a replacement.

I think you can return it to them and they'll replace yours with a new one for free if it's in the 1 year warrenty.

I'd certainly hope so, but i'm not seeing anything in particular on the website about how i'd go about exactly doing that.  I want it to be a simple matter of being able to return it and get a new one right back, just paying for some shipping along the way, but i'm not seeing that as an option yet.  it only so far seems like i can return it and return it alone, get my money back, and then potentially just buy a whole new one, which just adds obnoxious extra steps of monetary shenanigans.

Yeah, but I think you can contact them for a replacement OR just buy a new PSU that fits inside the Graphics Amp but I don’t think you can replace the power supply in it.

I've asked about return policies in previous posts, but the important bottom line is, is this typical for all Alienware Graphics Amplifiers?

Using an Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 Super, plugged directly into a wall outlet, on an Alienware 15 r2 laptop, a high detail game like Monster Hunter World will cause the power supply of my Alienware Graphics Amplifier to make a loud, constant rattling/buzzing noise.  In this sort of setup, is a noise from the machine inevitable?  or is it a malfunction I can reasonably get a replacement for?

Hey MiracleMonty - I am having the exact issue as demonstrated by your video.  I've sent in for a replacement AGA, were you still having issues with a new one?

He never replaced his with a new one I think?

I recommended getting a new PSU to fix the issue.

Definitely a stock PSU issue, second AGA had the same issue.  Replaced the PSU with another unit (which was surprisingly easy) and no more sound!
