Support Assist keeps asking my to install bios
Hi,
I have Alienware R4 1080GTX which has been a massive pain in the **bleep** ever since I bought it.
Every time I run support assist it has repeatedly detected that my BIOS is an older version, and asks me to manually install BIOS version SKL1.3.0_KBL1.2.4, 1.3.0.
Now I have done this a couple of times and every time after restarting my system and running support assist, it asks me again to install the updated BIOS.
This has been going on for weeks, I have compared my BIO version through device manager and the version I have is 1.2.4.0.
Any ideas why after downloading and installing the latest BIOS it is still showing as the previous version in my device manager?
Also, I have tried to update from device manager without success.
Thanks for any help

Hi @SY81,
Is a bug from the app, we will escalate this.
Thanks for the information.

Just an fyi, this is still an issue. I think my 15 R3 has installed this 3 times. Still considered "urgent".

Still does this. Good reason to just uninstall support assistant until this is fixed imho. Also saves ~1-2% memory usage, lol!
