m15 R2, fans rattling, screen freezing, random shutdowns

My relatively new (7 months old) m15 R2 has been having issues lately. Whenever I turn it on, the fans start rattling and only stop after around a minute. While using it, the screen randomly freezes once in a while for around 15-20 seconds for seemingly no reason, even when the computer isn't under any amount of stress. I've also experienced a few random shutdowns, these usually happen after a long screen freeze.

I believe this is a software issue, as I noticed a post with a similar problem, I tried the solution (reinstalling AWCC and OC Controls) and it worked (no freezes/rattling fans) until I restarted my computer. Also, every time the fan rattling happens, the software is unable to recognize an Alienware device, and once it does, the rattling stops. I have tried reinstalling the software about 3 times by now and every time it solves the problem temporarily, but the problem starts again after restarting 1 or 2 times.

Does anyone have a solution to this?
