m15 R2, touchpad scrolling does not work

2 finger scrolling does not work, maybe 2% of time it works perfect the other 98% it's unusable.

I read/saw a few reviews with the same issue. I think all updates are good, expect the alienware command software that refuses to install correctly.

Is this a software issue that's getting looked into?

(I've had it for 3 weeks, having to use a mouse is crazy)

Please refer to my solution posted here =

Re: m17 R2, scrolling is jumpy and unresponsive

As some mentioned later in that thread, the issue lies with Tobii Experience, however, it's not an issue but a feature. Go ahead and follow the steps to disable the Scroll at gaze feature and you should have no further issues! Good luck!

Hi @joshcraig

Send me a private message (by clicking my Alienware-name) with the Alienware PC service tag number so I can review your case.

I have the same issue. This was also reported on a review I watched. Did you ever get it resolved?

I uninstalled the Tobii software and it works fine now. Not optimal but I don't use that functionality.

open Tobii Experience, run through the tutorial/setup if you need to, then toggle Tobii Experience to off.

setup tobii experience then disabled it and it didn't work.  when i re-enabled tobii the scrolling problem was gone.  Hopefully, it would last.

Dell! Tobii Experience is interfering with Touchpad Scrolling!!  Had to setup Tobii, disable it then re-enable it to fix problem...      Someone here figured it out but didn't post detailed fix..  Don't know if this fix will last..
