m15 R3, cannot update newest BIOS 1.5, Overclocking CPU error
Hi all,
Last night, I tried to update the firmware BIOS 1.5 through Alienware Update app and SupportAssist but unsuccessful, both processes were stuck at the installing for several hours. Then I tried to install the BIOS manually with the file on dell support website; however it have the error:
"Error !! the CPU is Over Clocking
You are about the flash your BIOS, make sure Over Clocking is turn off.
Press "Cancel" button to stop the flash process if it is enabled"
The error above did not allow me to press ok to continue, only the cancel button
My CPU is listed as 10th Generation Intel Core i7- 10750H (6-Core, 12MB Cache, up to 5.1GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0)
As I know Dell locks the ability to overclock CPU on my laptop (cannot do it with Alienware Command Center, I can only overclock GPU through it); is my laptop factory overclocking? Any help or solution to update the newest BIOS.
Thank you and best regards,
