m15 R3, extremely high battery wear level
In the past few weeks, I've noticed very poor battery life on my Alienware m15 R3 despite the very light usage and undervolting my cpu. It lasts 2 hours on good days and around an hour and a half on most days. After installing hwinfo and running diagnostics a week ago, I saw that my battery wear level was 27.7%. This was alarming to see since my laptop is only 7 months old. I ran diagnostics again today after doing a few full discharges and it's still at 27.7%. I did not expect such a poor battery for such an expensive laptop.

Hi @Saul_goofman welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Please create Windows Battery Report to see age of battery, a new battery should be less than six months old. Look at how long a full Battery charge lasts. Dell Laptop Battery - Frequently Asked Questions | Dell US
Battery has first year only limited warranty. Alienware Laptop Battery Issues | Dell US
The HWiNFO utility will give battery wear value. Please open HWiNFO sensor information to see what is happening on the main board (aka motherboard). Try to discover why battery charge does not last. Where is the battery power being consumed? Does the main board have a fault?
Battery discharge is an expected behavior of hybrid design on Alienware m15 systems.
