Have you reinstalled the keyboard driver?

then also try removing and reinstalling the keyboard membrane cable to see if that fixes it?

What build of Windows 10 are you on? Sounds like some kind of corruption with the driver. Instead of uninstalling the update you installed can you just try rolling back to the previous build? Keyboard works, it's the integration of the device with Windows 10 that's busted. . The reinstalls of Windows probably doesn't work if it's installing the same build that breaks it.You still contact Alienware support? Email them at least?

Unfortunately this does not help.

Currently this is the third Keyboard on the second laptop which all have the same problems.
First laptop got a replacement keyboard but was messed up by the tech so Dell sent me a new device as replacement.

This error occurs even in Bios and Linux , so I guess no driver on earth will help here.... the only thing I hoped for is some kind of filtering software that corrects certain words automatically , like some custom driver / hook / keylogger with autocorrect or so....

This HID Filter driver does nothing.
Have Win10 Home #1909 first, then #2004 ; additional complete clean install of Win10 Enterprise #2004
Already did the latest Bios Update to 1.5.0 but this didn't help either.

Then I’d contact dell for a replacement laptop and then replace the entire thing but keep your storage drives so you can add them to the new one.

Thats exactly what I did.
The new replacement laptop has the same problem, I was offered a refund, another replacement or I could wait for a fix if possible.

Currently have chosen to wait if it can be solved by updating the bios. As I need the laptop for work on a daily basis, I'd rather have them replace it with a sucessor model once it launches than having to re-plan everything around the laptop etc.

Hello there. I have the exact same issue. Did you find a solution?

Yes, you can find the update on Dell.com if you search manually for driver updates. Can't remember the name of the update, but I think you can filter by "input devices" . Roll over filter or something like that.

Good luck

Hello! I'm having around the same error as you. It ends up where I'm typing things like 'deaqad' instead of 'dead' or 'usewd' instead of 'used'. I've tried the HID Filter Driver, a fresh install of windows (keeping apps and files and all), and I would rollback an update but I'm not sure which one exactly is causing all of this to begin with. I'm also confused on the wording in your post as what to search for specifically on Dell.com. Any help I could get would be great, because I can't find anything about this error anywhere else online!

Trying to help:

On dell.com you navigate to support, support home, browse all products, navigate to your product (eyes open, could be easily fooled by "15" or "m15" series.
Then to driver + downloads, dropdown  the manual search option (do not use the recommended automatic option) .
Below you have a list of drivers, firmware etc to download , look for something like "Service Application for Keyboard Firmware Update"  . Easier to find if you select "System Service Applications" in the category view.

Good luck!

That must be an issue because a German Keyboard with a US Bios Layout for the keyboard. I would recommend doing a BIOS Reflash to the latest version and that should fix the issue.
