Yes but this is a poor policy especially because all of my problems I’ve had are from the manufacture, meaning y’all sold me a 4000$ broken computer to start with. And now that Ive had y'all's certified technicians fix my computer, they break or scratch my 4000$ computer and in return your giving me a used computer. Sad policy will not buy again. Also in top of it once I get this new computer y’all are going to make me buy the dell migrate to get my files over to the new computer more money I’m just throwing at y’all. Very poor experience and like I said I would never recommend this to anyone.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all drives are cloned (copied). All data on replacement system will be as delivered by Dell on the original invoice. Dell does not migrate your data onto replacement system. You could request to continue to use original system for a few days until after delivery of replacement system, and swop over your drives before original is collected by Dell.
I’m not a fan of the refurbished computer but I’ll accept it if it’s my only option. But the really messed up part is how I have to pay for the dell migrate software and y’all won’t just give it to me. It’s only 50$ and I feel I should get way more compensation after y’all sent someone to my house and broke the touchpad. And after further inspection last night the casing of the laptop wasn’t even put on right. The back is all bowing out just looks horrible. I pay for the warranty so y’all can come to my house trash my laptop then make me give y’all more money to keep all my files.
It is Dells responsibility to offer good quality products so this doesn’t have to happen. And when it does happen that there is a defective product it is dells responsibility to fix the defective product I spent 4000$ on. But instead y’all are sending a refurbished computer that I’ll have to pay the 50$ to y’all to get the dell migrate because yalls computers don’t work. I did nothing wrong only cared for my laptop to the best of my ability but y’all sent me a defective product. Now I have to get a refurbished computer and spend more money to get the dell migrate all because y’all sent me a defective product. Such a sad situation
I got my refurbished laptop i today and to no surprise there’s scratches in the laptop and the holes where the air get pulled in by the fans is super dusty and looks really nasty, my year and a half old laptop definitely doesn’t look like that. Such a sad experience with dell ‘certified refurbished laptop’ lol more like a dirty old laptop.
I’m still having a horrible time with my problems with this laptop and this company. I posted a few weeks ago here and some manager just argued with me instead of any sort of problem solving, which I think is pretty sad. To sum it all up Dell gave me a laptop with many manufacturer defects that could only be seen if you took the laptop apart, which I didn’t because I have no experience in doing that. I just assumed a 4000 dollar laptop would just work. Silly me I guess. After the motherboard went out keyboard stopped working and when Dell support came to fix it they broke my keypad and my RGB lights. To make up for this they wanted to give me a used refurbished laptop, which they told me doesn’t mean used but when I got this new replacement laptop it has caked on dust in the vents and scratches on the back. Such a sad experience, Dell worst experience. And through all of this I’ve had premium support and no compensation no effort to make things right.
As soon as possible, you should Reject damaged replacement system and request a good quality replacement by clicking on Contact Technical Support and making a Formal Complaint to be escalated to senior Dell tier that is authorised to investigate and instigate your requested remedy. You should get confirmation that senior Dell tier review has started. This usually takes about 14 working days. Wait for Dell to collect damaged replacement system.
Please provide Dell Technical Support with photographic and any other evidence to support your formal complaint.

I added the system model to the title. They stated Dell policy correctly.
Any system exchange done after the first 30 days from the original Dell invoice date will be a like for like refurbished exchange.
