Please click on Product Support and allow Dell to identify your system so that laptop Model and Revision number can be shared, example x17 R2. Please share the operating system. (Do not share your private system Service Tag and/or Express Service Code in this public forum.)
Movement of the lid might have disconnected the display cable.
Please connect HDMI cable to TV or external monitor to see if laptop screen is displayed.
