If you need a new system in the near future, either will do the job -- the build on the Alienware is more substantial than on the Inspiron G15.
The best reason for not buying either if you don't need a new system soon is that the CPU platform used in both is very nearly end of life - Intel will launch the 12th generation Core CPUs in early 2022. The current iteration is little different from what Intel has been shipping for the last few generations, but by all accounts, the 12th generation will put Intel back into competition with AMD once again.
