m15 R7, cannot create RAID volume?
Hey,
My brand new m15 R7 won't give me the option to create a RAID volume? After I set "RAID On" in the BIOS settings, I'm expecting it to prompt me to make the configurations, pressing Ctrl+I after restart, but it doesn't. In the boot menu if I choose Device Configuration and Intel Rapid Storage Technology there should be a "Create RAID volume" option, but there isn't. It just shows both my 1TB Samsung PM9A1 disks as Non-RAID. I'm thinking this is a firmware/driver issue.
Is anybody out there running a working RAID config in a m15 R7? Anybody else have the same problem?
Thanks!
/Anton

I also can't install the RST drivers in Windows, it says "Platform not supported", which I believe is incorrect.

Same situation with me, quite disappointed after buying another 1TB SSD only to know that it can't create or doesn't support hardware RAID. I called Alienware support team and no luck after 1hr+ on the phone. But I did not give up, here's what I did to supercharge my laptop. I installed PrimoCache by ROMEX (just google it). Configure 250GB for the operating system, 750GB remaining + 750GB on the 2nd SSD and configure it as RAID 0, so you have a total of 1.5TB Drive - the remaining 250GB on the 2nd SSD I use for my vmware pc. I used it for piratebay, etc. if you catch a virus just revert it to an earlier snapshot. But I deduct 64GB out of 250GB for my PrimoCache so that's Drive E: SSD Cache. That Drive E will disappear when you use the primo cache software, it will be converted to L2 Cache and some part of your RAM too. So better upgrade RAM to 32 or 64GB. I did not upgrade yet but one day soon. It works flawlessly and read/write speeds of my laptop rocketed to 22,000 mbps from 3,330mbps.

@benjamingaliciax64 Did you ever find a solution for this. I have the same laptop and the same problem.
Not sure why Dell includes a RAID configuration in the BIOS without instructions on how to configure it.
