m17 R1, Stuck Updating

I have an Alienware M17 Laptop and recently ran the "update" feature.  It started updating and has been stuck at 10% for the past few days.  I have restarted multiple times and when ever I go to update, it says there is an "operation currently in progress".  Any thoughts on how I can force this update to stop and then restart it.  I keep my computer updated so its not like there are a ton of updates or anything.  Screenshot of what I'm seeing attached.  Thanks for the help!

If you’re updating the command center or the dell supportassist thing I’d recommend uninstalling the application and then reinstalling it.

Uninstalled it, deleted as many files around it as I could then downloaded the same version from Dell.com and installed it and now it works fine. I don't know download it was hung up on but hopefully won't happen again. Thanks!

Hey @MSUUCONN,

Do you want to kudo @Hooligan01 for his solution since it helped you fix the problem?

Its optional but I'm going to do it anyways.

I am having the same issue with my M15 notebook and seems to have started when I updated the bios to 2.5.  Whenever I run the Alienware Update program it says it is updating and stuck at 10 percent too.  Had to quit and uninstall the program and if you reinstall it still does not work.   Dell needs to test out their programs before releasing a new bios.

Have you disabled UAC in the system control panel in windows 10 and run the application in administrator mode?
