m17 R1, problems
So, last year I bought a brand new alienware 17m laptop after my alienware 18 finally gave up and died, and have had nothing but trouble with it since day one. The first day I opened it I got the blue screen of death two hours after turning it on. The drivers never updated properly, it was slower than anything I've ever owned, and it overheated fast to the point it hurt to touch, despite having a cooling desk with fans under it. I was finally able to send it in and they said if I waited they could eventually get a backordered part or trade it in for a refurbished laptop with less capabilities than the one I just bought. They finally sent me mine back and by the next day the problems returned but all I could get were remote repair attempts. The blue screens kept coming and today I received a message that it couldn't start and had to repair a disk. Now it won't get past the alienware logo when I try to start it. My alienware 18 was great but the 17 seems to be with no real good options to fix it. Has anyone else had this problem with the 2019 m17 R1?
