m17 R3, My Alienware EP_Exception_Header/subheader/button
Hello,
I've had this laptop for just under a year now, and the My Alienware worked when I got it, but now it shows this. And when I click it, it refreshes the page and comes up again. Any ideas? I've tried updating everything from drivers to windows.

Hi @Trevington welcome to this user to user forum.
You did not say, so lets assume your Operating System is Windows 10 and Windows Update has not installed the required Microsoft hot fix. We need to get more information to find the root cause.
On the next occurrence of this notification, note the time. Then open Event Viewer and give it time to load all the Operating System logs. The Overview & Summary window will say what event logs were created today. Look for the event log created at the time you noted. If there is only one event log, open it and look for the Windows Error Code & Message (Lookup Tools) and its association with an instruction. If there are more than one event log, then you search for the most likely candidate.
If you do not want to wait for the next occurrence of this notification, try using Events Viewer's Advanced Search to find event logs with the keyword EP_Exception_Header.
Please share an update. Thank you.

Thanks Crimsom for the quick reply!
Yes I'm using Windows 10.
I also checked the event viewer everywhere for it and couldn't find it. I opened and closed it at different times to see if it showed up, but it never did. The application is called My Alienware. I'm hoping they'll send out an update to fix it.

Hi @Trevington thank you for sharing an update.
It is strange that Event Viewer logs are not reporting this elusive fault. It seems that the 'My Alienware' code is calling for a windows link that now, does not exist or has changed its name and/or location. The Dell Technical Support fix would be to make 'My Alienware' a standalone application. The lazy fix would be to publish a higher version of the 'My Alienware' application. We do not use this application, but guess that it should have a "get update" option in one of the drop down menus. If you have the current version, you may have to put up with its fault or decide to delete this application.
Alternatively, from within local admin account, delete this application, followed by Restart to save this change in windows. Then install this application, followed by Restart to save this change in windows. This application code should go looking for a redirect to the new windows link.
