For your development team, the reason the VEGA 64 does not work in 1.5, seems to have to do with the Alienware Graphics Amplifier not being powered up until after POST (in fact it seems to cycle 3 times for some odd reason, even with other GPUs which, incidentally, do work fine).
The older 1.3 BIOS starts the Alienware Graphics Amplifier immediately (during POST). Note that the VEGA 64 only works this way on a cold start. The VEGA 64 is not detected after a reset.
Please fix this as we are now missing out on Intel's urgent security updates!

We used this guide to roll back the BIOS from 1.3 to 1.5.
