Hi @bobbieshaban welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.

Thank you for including an excellent image in opening post. Your second ac adaptor power cord's diagnostic LED assembly has broken, no evidence of frayed ends caused by wear and tear.

Dell first line call takers read from the prepared script, and are not allowed to deviate or be helpful. Unfortunately, the onus is on users to clearly state their requirements, to ensure call takers do their job. Remind Dell call taker that you have Dell premium support plus with accidental damage and request that they create a fault ticket for you, so that Dell knows there is a problem to fix. Tell them you have photographic evidence that the ac adaptor power cord's diagnostic LED has broken, so they can tell you how to send this image to Dell.

I would just by a replacement one and wrap it in electrical tape if necessary, but a replacement is still the better option. Make sure not to move it too aggressively since that can cause wear.

Thank you for your response, the service request was escalated and they came back with the same response, they won't replace it, even though they did the first time. I have sent them an image, as you suggested, with the charger serial number and the faulty LED connector and still they insist on calling it frayed, when it clearly is not.

I have had the same exact issue with my m17 R3. Similar to you, I had the first one replaced under warranty but the same exact issue has happened to the second one. It's worth noting this is from very light use. Extremely disappointing for a machine that costs as much as this did. For this reason, I would not buy another Alienware when it comes time to upgrade.

This is happening to mine also. Happened to an older Alienware I had years back as well.
