Hi @ussman welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
The system POST has successfully completed because the splash screen has appeared. Evidently there are no diagnostic lights or beeps. The system fails to boot, and automatically shuts down.
How old is this system?
Have there been warnings that battery needs replacing?
When connected to ac adapter, does the system work work normally?
Does the ac adapter's diagnostic LED work when connected to mains power, and remain on when dc power cord plugged into laptop's dc-in socket?

Verify if there is any light on the system, this includes the power led ring on the AC adapter for laptops.
Reset the power cables connections on both ends: computer and power outlet.
Try a different power outlet or verify the one you are using is working properly connecting to it a known working device.
If you have a laptop, ensure the battery is fully charged. You can also try removing the battery and powering up the system with the AC Adapter only.
Perform a power drain by disconnecting the power cables from the computer as well as the battery in case of laptops, and then hold the power button for 10-15 seconds to discharge "static power". Then connect back the power cables and try to turn the system on.
If problem persists after these steps, then it may be related to a defective power supply, AC adapter, battery or motherboard.
My system is not too much old it still in Warranty life till NOV. Not there were not any warnings for battery replacement before i shut down my system. No not at all its not working. not with OR with out Adopter.
A quick basic check, open rear panel (removal of warranty sticker will not invalidate Dell Warranty), disconnect battery, carefully reseat the M.2 boot drive and RAM cards (if there is any dust or debris, remove with dry, lint free cloth, do not touch the copper electrical connector strip, do not use solvents), connect battery, close rear panel. Does laptop boot into windows? No, try next check.
Check to see if these options are available: When splash screen starts to appear, press and hold down F2 key to open BIOS window. Look for battery status, hopefully it says it is in good health and working. Connect ac adapter to power laptop. Press esc so that splash screen reappears, press and hold down F12 key, when boot windows open, select and run Diagnostics, click in bottom RH corner to enter test window. In the LH column, select ac adapter and Battery tests to confirm they are powering the laptop.
Hopefully your laptop tests will say that battery and ac adapter power is available. Now we know that there is a Windows software problem. Please click on Top Solutions - See All for additional m17 R3 checks and tests.

The good news is that your Dell Warranty is active and Dell Product Support will fix this for you. Please open your online Dell Account and chat with Product Support (get their name), request that they open a fault ticket for you, so that Dell know there is a fault to fix. If there is a reluctance, insist your fault ticket is created. If they refuse, request they speak to their line manager (rarely in the office?). If fault ticket still not created, request creation of a formal complaint and escalation to that tier who has authority to authorise creation of fault ticket. Request that copy of your chat is sent to your online account. It should be in lodged within your account within 24 hours. If it does not appear, you will have to make contact by email, your first email should include your recollection (or electronic record) of your online chat. You have paid for this service and hopefully your call taker will stop reading from the prepared script, and create your fault ticket without further delay.
