m17 R4, Boot and Freeze

I bought this laptop a couple days ago. Worked fine the first day, and now, whenever I start the laptop, if it doesn't freeze on the Alienware splash screen, I'll get to the login screen, log in, and *then* the computer freezes. The only recourse is to press and hold the power button and do a restart. It seems to be luck of the draw as to whether it'll freeze or not, and sometimes it will go a couple hours and then freeze, or freeze right away. Any suggestion/solution would be very much appreciated. If more information is needed from me, please let me know.
