Bernasaurus says: type services in Search, select and right click the app and run as administrator, in services scroll down to Nahimic and right click for properties, change start-up type to disabled, stop the service. Keep an eye on this every time Dell pushes updates, as may be upgraded and enabled again.
Yeah, did that as a workaround to avoid stutters and flooded event viewer. Kind of sad to lose equaliser, audio settings and whatever Audio Recon does, but it's better than constant crashing service and stutters in game cause by that.
If it's known issue, why is it even included and why Dell keeps pushing it?
It's listed, because it's still an issue. One wouldn't just disable part of device (for example touchpad) if it didn't work properly instead of trying to find a solution. I feel that proper audio drivers and setup is as important as any other part of premium device like this. It's not few hundred euro laptop that can have such issues written off due to it's price and quality, it's an expensive marvel of engineering designed for performance and productivity in mind.
I'm not saying I'm happy with it. I'm saying I want it to work properly. Or at least figure out an explanation of why it doesn't. This is my first Alienware product and based on price I really expected a bit less hassle when it comes to making marketed features actually work or at least not impede usability. Sure, disabling it works, but it also reduces sound quality and it's kind of a big deal when part of your work revolves around good quality audio.
Hi @Kulsius thank you for sharing update. If you have already addressed the Nahimic Service, why is it listed in your OP. It is a well known issue and Dell keeps pushing it in their updates. The Nahimic Service is not required by Dell motherboards, and Dell just does not seem to care. @DELL-Cares

Hi @Kulsius the Nahimic Service is a well known Dell irritation and this PUP should be removed. Nahimic malware is categorised as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP).

Hi @Kulsius Oh! Well if you are happy with the Nahimic Service designed for tweaking Realtek sound on MSI motherboards and MSI laptops, no problem.
