support assistant update issue
I open the support assistant (version 3.4.0) and I am immediately greeted by a box that says "A new version of SupportAssist is available and will be installed on this PC." So I hit "OK" and the window closes and another box shows up saying "Installation Canceled, SupportAssist is only for PCs from Dell and Alienware." I have a pretty new Alienware M17 R2 laptop. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling supportassist multiple times with the same result, and it still downloads version 3.4.0, and still keeps saying there is an update available. Is there a way to fix this? Is there even a newer version of support assist or is it a glitch in the app?

Welcome to the Dell Community @hydra876
First create a desktop folder named "Updates"
Downloaded this update and copy it to that folder.
Dell Update - SupportAssist Update Plugin:Version 5.0.1.10874, A00
https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=82ngy&oscode=wt64a&productcode=alienware-m17-r2-laptop
Close all open windows and any apps that may be running.
Then go to that folder and right click on the new update and "Run as Administrator"
