system crashed and had to reboot

ok system boots ok but the keyboard layout has changed and the @ key is now in the"2 position which is driving me crazy how do I get it back to the standard uk style where the key is in the ' position I think it maybe something to do with the layout and a Uk extended layout or I could be wrong ? any ideas

Hi,

Check out the guide on the link below and follow the steps to change the keyboard layout back to the standard UK style.

On top of @Alienware - Rodrigo tips to change your keyboard back to the default that you chose, I would suggest removing any Keyboard layouts other then the one you want to use.  In a lot of cases it will have a second option and there is a keyboard shortcut for swapping between them that is fairly easy to trigger.

Removing all but the keyboard layout that  you want and use on a daily basis can prevent the system from changing the layout in the future as you only have one to use.
